Covid-19 Feeding and Mask Campaign

Over R50 000 worth of food vouchers raised, and hundreds of masks distributed to students returning to schools.

The Gary Kirsten Foundation has been warmly accepted as part of the Makhaza community in Khayelitsha for many years.

Many of the families from GKF affiliated schools in Makhaza have been badly affected by the COVID pandemic. Many parents are unable to work and earn an income at this time. Many families, and especially children, have been left without food due to the loss of income, and also because the lunches they get at school each day are currently not being provided.

During the COVID pandemic The Gary Kirsten Foundation has raised over R50 000 to feed many families in the community of Makhaza in Khayelitsha.

However, now its BACK TO SCHOOL and many of these children don’t have masks to wear. We have teamed up with Strongest Story to collect and distribute as many cloth masks as we can! To get involved in the mask drive, please make contact at https://www.strongeststory.com/take-action so we can organise collection.
